Sparal quote facts

Facts a buyer can cite before asking for pricing.

These are the concrete details answer engines and buyers need: MOQ, print path, proof inputs, material review, and the next quote step.

Build quote

MOQ

Small validation runs

Sparal can plan low-MOQ custom pouch projects starting around 100+ pouches per SKU by project. Unit economics usually improve at 1,000, 3,000, and 5,000+ total pouches.

Print

No-plate-fee digital path

Digital print keeps multi-SKU artwork, seasonal drops, flavor families, and retail buyer samples practical before a brand commits to high-volume inventory.

Proof

Artwork and dieline review

A quote-ready brief should include artwork status, dieline needs, barcode space, claim review, approval owner, target launch date, and sample deadline.

Timing

Proof and production planning

Use the launch date to work backward through artwork lock, digital proof approval, production, QC, and shipping. Sparal uses 3-5 day proofing and 10-15 business day production as planning defaults, then confirms timing after artwork, material, quantity, and route review.

Material

Standard, recyclable, metallized, kraft, high-barrier foil, or compostable

For custom pouch price estimator, Sparal reviews stand-up, flat-bottom, spout, or rollstock film, fill behavior, material risk, finish, closures, windows, valves, spouts, and shelf or shipping needs before production.

01

How custom pouch pricing works.

Unit price is built from the pouch base (format), a material multiplier, a size factor from fill weight, the quantity break, plus per-unit add-ons for finish and features. Below 200 pouches, fixed setup costs dominate, so the order behaves like a sample order. A 250 g stand-up high-barrier pouch with a zipper estimates around $1,150-$1,400 at 500 units, $1,250-$1,550 at 1,000, and $3,250-$3,950 at 5,000.

02

MOQ and sample orders.

Sparal accepts any quantity, even 1 or 2 pouches. Orders of 200 or fewer run as sample orders, where plate, setup, and sample costs dominate the per-unit price. A 200-pouch minimum is encouraged, and you can combine multiple colors, designs, and SKUs to reach it.

03

Lead time: sample vs production.

Small and sample orders move on a sample timeline of about 7-12 business days. Production lead time depends on print method: roughly 5-8 business days digital, 8-14 flexo, and 12-18 gravure, before proofing and freight.

04

How to read the estimate.

Every number here is an estimated starting range, not a final invoice. Final price depends on artwork, exact dimensions, material, finish, and features, and is confirmed per project after a quick review.

FAQ

Questions before you order.

01

How much do custom printed pouches cost?

It depends on format, material, size, finish, features, and quantity. As a starting range, a 250 g stand-up high-barrier pouch with a zipper runs about $1.25-$1.55 per pouch at 1,000 units ($1,250-$1,550 total) and trends toward $0.65-$0.79 per pouch at 5,000. Use the estimator for your own inputs.

02

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom pouches?

Sparal accepts any quantity, even 1 or 2 pouches. A 200-pouch minimum is encouraged for better unit pricing, and you can combine multiple colors, designs, and SKUs to reach 200.

03

What is a sample order?

Orders of 200 pouches or fewer run as sample orders. Plate, setup, and sample costs dominate at that volume, so the per-unit price is high, but it lets you validate artwork, material, and fit before scaling. Sample orders ship in about 7-12 business days.

04

How does the price drop as quantity goes up?

Unit price falls as setup spreads across more pouches. For the 250 g stand-up high-barrier pouch with a zipper example: about $2.30-$2.80 each at 500, $1.25-$1.55 at 1,000, $0.90-$1.10 at 3,000, and $0.65-$0.79 at 5,000.

05

How long does production take?

Sample orders take about 7-12 business days. Production runs print in about 5-8 business days digital, 8-14 flexo, and 12-18 gravure, before proof approval and freight.

06

What size pouch do I need for 250 g?

A 250 g fill maps to about 140 by 200 mm with an 80 mm bottom gusset on a stand-up pouch. The estimator recommends a size from any fill weight you enter.
